AHAM Standards
The Association of Home Appliance Manufactures (AHAM), which has supported and maintained programs that establish an objective and repeatable form of performance measurement since 1967, provides a standardized means for verification of manufacturer product performance ratings through the AHAM certification program. The program gives consumers, retailers and the home appliance industry an added value by furnishing uniform product comparison information, regularly verifying the results and reducing confusion at the point of purchase about product performance claims and characteristics.
